DIY Newborn Photo prop posing ring

Newborn posing rings are bulky and take up room.
This a cool idea, if you are just starting out and don't have the padding , or if you have forgotten to take yours... make one quick quick

It looks simple enough to do, simply use whatever you have on hand,
as long as the blanket that you wrap is firm enough.

A week of bears!

Its been a crazy week of making teddy bear outfits for newborn photo shoots this week.
Everything from fuzzy bonnets and beanies to, Winnie the Pooh custom order, and Brown Bear fuzzy goodness!
I even found a link to the cutest little bear knitting pattern book, and best of all its FREE!
I just adore how this Winnie the Pooh came out. Its a custom order for a client.
Simple, and sweet. A bonnet and a footed onesie with built in red sweater.

These two little bears are going to Canada.
Each set has a bonnet, one has dungarees, and one is a footed pair of trouser pants.
So cute. They would be perfect for a photographer. You could pair them as similar outfits for
twins, or use them on their own.

This brown bear was made for a sitter-size baby (6-9 months)
I love the fuzzy bear sets. They are perfect for winter or woodland photo shoots.

My all time best seller- my mohair bear bonnets and beanies.

I found this link for a FREE Kindle e-book on Knitted teddy bear patterns. It even includes the little outfits.

Easy Baby Ella Cardigan & Beanie Pattern

This is one pattern that you just HAVE to have if you have a new baby due!
A very simple baby cardigan and beanie set that a beginner can make. Soft and snuggly and just right for a baby shower gift.  Make it in a lovely soft merino yarn, and it will be just too gorgeous for words !

Lots of pictures to help you along in the pattern.
A lovely gift for a new baby
Perfect for baby boys or baby girls

The beanie has a roll-brim to make it an easy fit, and so that you can roll the brim down as baby grows.
The cardigan is knit from the bottom up in one piece to under the arms, then has very easy shaping.
The edges are knit into the pattern, so there is no fiddling to add button edges afterwards.

A lovely versatile cardigan that can be made plain, or you can embroider flowers on it for a baby girl,
sew on fabric decals (like little ducks or bears for a boy)

Skill level : Beginner level knitter. You need to be able to knit, purl and cast off.
I knitted back and forth on a circular needle, but you can use straight needles too.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Any Double knit / 8ply yarn
5.5mm / US 9 knitting needles
1 button

Easy Newborn Baby Pointy Elf Bonnet Knitting Pattern

The latest Newborn Baby trend... adorable pointy elf bonnets with a pompom!
So easy to make, even for a beginner knitter.  This pattern gives you two options, either plain or with a garter stitch ridge pattern.  So simple to make, you can easily make it in an evening.

The little elf bonnet fits snugly around babys face. There is a little ridge on the edge to stop the bonnet rolling up.  Knit it plain, or add a cute little pompom or tassel on the end.

Included in the instructions is this garter stitch ridged variation. Its very easy for a beginner level knitter to follow

Use about 50g of double knitting yarn (8ply) and 5.5mm (US9 ) knitting needles.

You can make crochet chain neck ties like I have, or add a ribbon, or string ties or even little plaits
